Fluke 1653 mft??? !!!

Hi guys,

I need help with my new 1653 mft, Which reading do i use for Ze, & which is Zs i don't seem to be able to work it out!!!

Is it me or am i reading it wrong ?

Never used the 1653. All the testers I have used, use the same setting for Ze (earth disconnected) or Zs (earth connected).
My tester (Meggar MFT 1553) does have a No trip setting and 25A setting for getting Ze/Zs. The No trip is for use when you will be testing a supply fed from an RCD (and you must use L,N,E leads), opposed to the 25A setting for testing circuits fed from a normal MCB/Fuse (then only the L&E lead can be used).

not used the fluke, but from a previous thread, i seem to remember that it has a Z1 setting or something similar. have you not got the instuction manual???

Ze or Zs its the Z1 loop on the 1653, should tell you in the manual.
