Hi, I'm facing a problem with my FLUKE 199C oscilloscope battery which becomes dead very often and the oscilloscope will not turn on anymore even when the power adapter is connected. Is there any way to make it run on the power adapter regardless of the battery condition.

This unit will not switch on if the batteries are defective or very discharged, even if the power adaptor is connected. The only approved option is to replace the battery pack, a replacement battery pack is available from a number of different suppliers in the UK and USA, but I don't know about suppliers to Lebanon.

Are you sure it's the battery? Have you had a rummage inside to see if there are any bloated caps?
