Guys.

Looking to buy new a new tester for work, the Fluke T5-1000 looks pretty good with some good reviews.

Point is, been browsing online for a price and was getting roughly £157.00. But found it on the isswww.co.uk for £88 including delivery. Is this website trustworthy?? Seems much cheaper than anywhere else.

Stevie

Hi mate, isswww.co.uk is a reliable company so you should not have any bother there. Unless you intend to do industrial work the T5-600 is probably all you need and you can save money.

Be aware before making your purchase that the T5s are not without a few issues:
Like for like, the physics suggests that an open jaw clamp meter like that of the Fluke T5 or Megger DCM330 is not going to be as accurate or have the resolution of a similar ranged closed jaw clamp meter, but for most non-critical measurements may be more convenient. Hence the reason you don't see open jaw earth leakage clamp meters. Also the Fluke T5-600 or 1000 don't measure DC current which can be severely limiting if working on CCTV, alarm or door entry systems etc.

as Markie isww is a good site. it maybe worth you p`ming test meter on here to see if they can match the price for you.
I have the t5-1000. it is my second one as the first one took a trip off the ladders, it still worked fine after the impact but tbh I wanted a new one to be 100%. £88 is a good price though.

I have a T5-1000 and its true Fluke Quality, but as Phil says the current measuements arent as accurate compared to a closed jaw one, but for me its ok

If you wanna do basic electrical testing, Fluke T5-1000 is the best and easy solution. You can also try Fluke T5-600 for basic testing.
