Heres another question,

What would happen to the light level if the capacitor was disconnected from a fluorescent fitting ? And why is this this the case.

Ha Ha, Beat me too it.. I had this one too.. Testing amps and voltage of strip lights when the capacitor was taken out did nothing to the light levels.. Just means the light is not as efficient

You got it kidda, trolled the net for some kind of answer but knew you guys would have an answer .....

once you know what capacitor pf is in fitting for then youl have your answer... i think.. but they get in my way all the time

Dig them books out and have a good ol swot up, you'll feel better for finding yourself!
