Fluoresecent light starter

Hi,

About 2 weeks ago fitted a new 58W tube Fluroescent light fitting (£12 from B&Q). The starter has just failed on it, is this likely to be a faulty starter or could there be some other fault?

If the starter has failed then I'm guessing that it's a faulty starter.
