Start Up loans are available from a government backed scheme. At first it was open to 18-24 year olds , then it was opened up for people up to 30 . Now it's open to ages 30+ aswell i believe . Funds will be limited i guess so best be quick .
For people in England , Northern Ireland and Wales . Have a look at the FAQ section of the website . Also , it's not just for new start ups , it's available for anybody that's been trading for up to twelve months .

Hopefully somebody here will find it useful especially considering how tricky it can be to borrow these days . Start Up Loans Start Up Loans » Start-Up Co

I can vouch for these, I was one of the first 100 that got a loan when they launched, it's not just a sort of "here's your money, make sure you pay us back on time". They give you contacts for admin works, accountants, advertising (all at a discounted rate) and also so much free material for business use. You do have to attend one business seminar type of thing, but it's very informative and useful in my opinion. I did have a late payment once but they were understanding about it, and they're always brilliant to contact for legal advice etc. Worthwhile if you don't have the funds for starting up, I borrowed the minimum and paid it off within 5 months, and still in contact with them

Good stuff mate and good luck with it all . That's what it's all about , giving people opportunities where otherwise they may not have any .

The interesting thing for me is the 'mentor' , to help you once your business is running . I know 'mentor' sounds a bit arty farty corporate office type lingo but you can be the best spark in the world and still not succeed in business . Help once you've actually started your business can only be a good thing .

Thanks for posting this up, I have always been wary of loans, however if it government backed and backed by decent businessmen then maybe useful for new companies and sole traders.
