Morning all
Just a quick question.
I have recently had my kittchen refitted. As part of the work the cooker was moved. I pulled out the old cable and re-routed a new one through the loft and down to where it was needed in the kitchen. When filling out an 'Electrial Installation Certificate' would this be classed as 'New Installation', or an 'Alteration to an existing Installation'?

Thanks in advance..

If all you have done is rerouted an existing circuit and not wired a new one back to the CU then all you'll need is a minor works cert.

If it is a new circuit then yes an EIC, and it is classed as a new circuit.
