Wondered if it would be of use to have a formula and calculation aid section, ie fill in the blanks and get the answeer type thing. :) Dont know how difficult it would be to do

Any opinions?

Use your calculator like everybody else!!:D

To be honest Andy, im not sure how easy it would be as it would involve a fair bit of software writing.

However, im not the biggest tech on PC's so ill have a word;)

Hey.

I'd been thinking about a new section on an Electrical Science kind of area. It would be a place to post all the theory based questions and formula related calcs and theories etc. We could post up all the most frequently used calcs like ohms law, power triangle etc etc.

Opinions??

There are sites with this sort of info, not sure how you inbed the info. but think it would be useful on the site and as you say could have formula and other information in, just a though. I have put in alink below with the sort of thing :)

Okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy,

Had a look at all the above. And if you pick one and find that's best I'll make it part of this forum. Though also, I can make a version that's able to run on your mobiles, and if your phones have 'apps' (applications) then I mAY

Okay,

Been checking out the links and if you can decide on a bit of kit I can not only make it part of this websites (or our blog) I can make it available on you phone, or as an app if you have a phone capable of installing apps.

I can also make a version of the forum suitable for phones though most smartphone type phones should be able to shrink all the images on this normal forum and run it at a smaller size anyway.

Keep me posted and I'll get onto it for you.

perhaps we could all puts some links together and then have a vote on it ? what do you think. Difficulty is everyone is in different sectors of electrical work ,however i think a general selection could be sorted.:) cheers Dan

Andy,

Job for you then!

Start a new thread in the general forum with a poll with as many of the ones you think are good.

Other members can then vote and maybe suggest some others for perusal.

However, bear in mind that regardless of the results, it may not be the winner that gets chosen purely for the fact that it may not work and so one that will, will get chosen.

Ta.
