Whats the formula for this question:-
A current of 4.5A flows in a3.5 W resistor for 5.5 minutes. The energy dissapated is?

Well first of all calculate power using ohms law =

P = Isquared x R = 4.5squared x 3.5 = 70.87W.

So now we have P, we multiply this by t to give us the energy = 70.87 x 5.5 = 389.7Joules.
