Is there a easy way to remember the formulas,or do you have to at it parrot fashion? l last did calculas about 25 years ago. mass, power, ohms, series/parallel resisters etc no prob but the wheel is doing my head in.

When it comes down to the C&G questions look at what info you are given, eg.....

Q. If you have a load on a piece of equipment at 2.5Kw (2500w), what current will it require if supplied at nominal voltage of 230V?

They have given you 2 sets of numbers and there is only 4 ways it can go from here... +, -, x or / (divide).

2500 + 230???

2500 - 230???

2500 x 230???

2500 / 230???

How many Apms will a 2.5Kw load take? Hope you have all picked option 4? Thank God for that.

Look at the question, look at the numbers given and what answer they are after and take it from there. A couple of formulas below to help anyone.
