Free Auto cad

Hi everyone. Can anybody suggest a free electrical design program that I can introduce myself to. I don't know anything about it but want to try it out to see if it works for me. Preferably one with a tutorial.

Are you looking for a complete 'design' package or a basic CAD 'drawing' package for electrical. What type of electrical systems do you work with?

To be honest, I just want to teach myself about design programs, and get my self familiar about the programs capabilities. Maybe I'll put myself through a course later to get a certificate. I just want something to have a play on really.

Dassault Systèmes SA do a free program called Draftsight. I've never tried it but I'd guess it's a very light version of Solid Works.

Thanks I'll try it out. I just received a disk from see electrical. It a free program to try out. Any thoughts?

iv'e just downloaded the see software. you need the building electrical one. at first glance it looks ok.
