Did a quick little job earlier in an old farmhouse kind of place, very very in need of a complete rewire and unlikely to get one for another generation!
Anyway, didn't like my chances with isolating the bit I was working with by pulling the old 3036's, so just turned the whole place off at the main switch.
Got back to where I was working, and there was a light still on. A headscratch, a revisit to the cupboard, a check with the meter...later, and the old boy customer wanders in and says 'oh yes, that light is always on unless I take the bulb out. I think it must come from next door.'
Nice.
(and a lesson in why we practice safe isolation!)
