Do it mate, you're never stressed when you're playing (except when you first pick it up) Once you've picked out your first couple of riffs it becomes a drug. I've lost years of my life in guitars and I don't regret a second of it.

Yeah just want a guitar to play those catchy riffs in the songs i like and slowly learn from there

I will do Trev, I will start out on acoustic first but this is what I almost bought today. Even if I cant play it, hang it on a wall and it is a thing of beauty

Money haha I'm skint... I'm thinking of getting a starter's kit from amazon for around £100. I'm doing some part time work now so should be able to get it in a couple weeks

I just got one of these and must say it has a lovely sound to it, smaller than normal also as it is a parlour style. Mine is semi acoustic though. Music makes the world go round.

They're not. There's no such thing as an easy guitar to play unless you're at a decent standard. With an electric you're going to need an amp to get the best out of it. With an acoustic you don't

I am not after another one, was just wondering what your preferred choice would be. I will have a look at Taylor though.

If i had a spare £500 knocking around i would probably invest it in a MFT to be honest.

Yeah with the £100 it includes an amp and a few minor things like strap and picks and some spare strings but i'll just end up getting better strings for it to begin with

Strings- D'addario. I've tried them all mate and no other string comes close to these imo
Straps-just about anything does at first but look at the Planet Waves stuff.
Picks- Has to be Jim Dunlop for me. For lead and bass work I use 0.73mm. For acoustic it's the 0.38s
trust me on the electric/acoustic thing though if you're just starting out.
