How's it going guys, I'll try and keep this as simple as possible!

Recently moved into a (rented) flat. Usual setup with one TV point (living room) and we would like to setup the bedroom TV too. One coax comes into our loft from the communal loft and in to the TV point which provides Freeview and Freesat (presumably it's connected to some sort of combiner and a booster I'm guessing in the communal loft space above corridor - which I can't gain access to).

My question is - would sticking another booster onto the cable in my loft to split it be worthwhile/have any affects ie. interference or would I be better using a Y type splitter and hope I don't loose too much signal? I'll add - we will only ever be watching one at a time!

If it is just a single coax going to multiple properties then it is probably already amplified, to add another booster would increase the strength but not the quality of the signal as the noise will increase, best just to try a splitter, it should be OK.
