Who has seen a UFO? or believe they have, and who wasn't drunk at the time? pmsl

I'm not a believer but I'm not a complete disbeliever either, more agnostic than atheist.

When I lived in the US I saw a very curious looking stationary object in the sky one evening. I was almost convinced it could have been a flying thing of some sort except it didn't move or behave like an aircraft. I even got in my car a drove a couple of miles and took some angle measurements for different locations to determine its height. It turned out it was at least 3 miles high above ground level even though it actually looked a lot closer. It was visible for a couple of hours and I never fund out what it actually was.

What does the U stand for?
That's right it doesn't mean little green men, it means something can't be readily explained, maybe the powers that be want it that way or maybe it is something not of this world but the fact remains. The U stands for Unidentified.
All that aside, I think it would be incredibly arrogant to think that we are the only thinking, technological beings in this vast universe that we float about in. Some will be far behind us while others will be so far ahead that we couldn't understand.
Yes, btw, I've seen stuff that I couldn't explain.

I had a meeting yesterday with a manufacturer of large scale architectural lighting controls, and in their conference room is a pic of a project they did somewhere over some eastern europe forest of an 'art installation' which was basically a huge parabolic dish roughly 7m dia absolutely covered in single cell RGB leds, all lit up and flown suspended under a drone. It looked absolutely awesome, but I bet it scared the cack out of a lot of people!!

ufo.s are cack imo
ive experienced a ghost
in a room at bloxworth house dorset years ago frightend the sh-it out of me
the room was much colder than the ajoining ones(3 others, bedrooms) and there was a terrible feeling of dread when i went in

Just found a pic and added it ^^^

Was in the garden around 20 years ago and was watching the stars, one star shot violently to the left a few meters which may have been hundreds of meters in real measurements, then stopped, I watched it for a few minutes then it shot up in the air and disappeared, I cannot explain what it was, but it was Unidentified IMO, probably some simple explanation but weird.

I was on Hols in France a few years ago. My mum was with me and we were star gazing. 1 star seemed very bright, it suddenly moved in one direction, then another, stopped for a bit then done it again. Both of us saw it and still cannot explain it.

The way we perceive physical space is dependent on the time it takes for light to reach our eyes. All other types of physical senses are restrained by the velocity at which information within space can be transferred physically to our senses. Our bodies are still evolving, and we can't even perceive 1% of the light around us, and we are also oblivious to vibrations and fields that other animals can perceive with little to no problem because their bodies specialize in these areas. You also have to bare in mind, the light is subject to gravitational and electromagnetic forces, which are not always constant. For humans, electromagnetic energy in the wavelengths from 400 to 700 nanometers stimulate the perceptions of colour in the human eye. Most people don't realize it, but our eyes are moving all the time. These micro tremors are fairly small and our brains normally cancel out the effect when there's a good solid reference point like a walls or floor, or a well defined fixed object in the field of view. But when you're looking at an essentially black field like the sky at night with scattered bright lights, there's not enough of a reference point, so your brain can't cancel out the random motions. It's very easy to think that objects are moving when they're not. This mechanism is beneficial to our perception of moving objects. In visual terms, you get very quick detection of motion at the cost of some uncertainty in its location. But after you run it through the motion cancelling filter in your brain, the visual field appears stable, except for objects that are really in motion, or in special circumstances like those you described.
