Today I was gobsmacked to hear that the extended warranties I'd been patiently waiting for, since the start of the promotion, were still not processed. Trying to help a friend I suggested that he would have to wait for a while to get them through - it turns out that he'd got his within a week from a different wholesaler and I'd been waiting for 2 months for some of mine!


I get most of my inverters from Segen and rarely have any probelm - BUT I'm fuming that our customers think we're incompetent. Fronius say it takes 2 days to sort out the warranty and you can buy from ny wholesaler regardless of who you bought the inverter from.

I've demanded a refund from Segen!:furious3:

We had a Fronius IG150 plus go down on us on an 11kW install 3 weeks after commisioning, they said one of the PCB had failed, a simple pull out and plug in 20min job. Hey but guess what, they would not supply the PCB because we had not been on the training course, an extortionate price to go on, so they insisted on replacing the whole unit, bringing it in from Austria! A seven day shut down for the client, who was fantastic about it. I believe there was something more inherently wrong with it hence the replacement.

To top it all the have a labour cost sheet for our re install cost, at ÂŁ65.00 a day, it didn't even cover the fuel! WE still havent got the money from Fronius 3 months later.

To top it alll we did a small install for the clients friend and hey what the Fronius IG20 had a small crack in the side case! Segen insisted we paid for a new one they send it out we then get the refund! they later admitted that Fronius had issues with quality and were getting a lot of complaints. We avoid Fronius if we can and use Dielh - SMA - Powerone
 
Actually my point was about service from Segen not Fronius - who we've found great with the few problems that we've had. But interesting to note the problems you've had with Fronius.

I've always had good service from Segen but I'm not at all happy with the current situation.
 
Segen suck! fronius waranties paid for two months ago, we had a call from segen on tuesday (after I had been chasing them every other week) asking for the inverter serial Nos, obviously they have lost the paper work we sent in with the payments....ffs

Always had excellent service from fronius though...........
 
I'm still waiting for my phone call to be returned from Thursday morning. I won't be ordering the other warranties from them!
 
I have an SMA warranty outstanding from June, and have 5 other Fronius warranties being "processed" by Segen. I already have the certificate for a Fronius I ordered from another wholesaler less than 3 weeks ago. Segen seem to be in a mess atm, we had two jobs completely messed up this week due to Segen and not delivering to site on installations days.
