furious with my supplier - now redeemed :-)

Bloody hell i just trying to calm down, had 3 systems on order for ages, LG panels were due in on friday, the container did a no show, it then arrived today and i got a phone call asking to send over some money - so i did in a breath - got told catagoricly that i can come and collect in the morning, so ive organised my staff, customers having time off to let us in etc, then 5.30 i get a flaming email telling me the panels are not ready for collection and it will be friday - what the idiot should have said is weve given your panels to someone else, so screw you. My god im hopping mad, i wouldnt have sent the money had i known, and why send me an email like that on his way out of the door - well im going to the warehouse first thing in the morning and im going to kick a right fuss up.

im gunna do - nope the container arrived - this is the email i got: Hi Russell

The following items are Ok for collection tomorrow:

15 x rails
20 x SS Hooks
14 x mids
8 x ends
2 x gen meters
The panels are not ready yet as we did not have all of them delivered today, so unfortunately it will have to be Friday collection for them. I do apologize for any problems that might cause.

Segen have been great for me, put an order in Tuesday, they phoned me Tuesday afternoon to confirm. Dispatched today and with me tomorrow.

We had a delivery with 2 gen meters missing. Complained and asked for them to be sent to our office, so they sent them to the job we completed last week. Now they won't refund until I arrange for the gen meters to be sent back!

I owe them about £1k for an inverter, which I wo't be paying until they put the invoice right. I won't be using them again - I reckon I'm in the driving seat for once.

I don't mind naming and shaming - Altenergy - deal with them at your peril!

Nope - Altenergy. Not the first time they've cocked up but it will be the last I won't use them again.

I suggest if your gonna have it out with your supplier. Rub the ------ into your eyes first........

That way you'll look hard....

My supplier redeemed them selfs today!!!! all good, got my 13 panels this morning and there up and running on my first Solar Edge System (good bit of kit) and also got my 16 panels for tomorrows job! - but - they have just loaned my next lot of 9 to someone, but thats ok as dont need till monday - so there not too bad after all.

I was after Solar Edge but my installer could not get so system being installed today/tomorrow is a 4000TL and 16 x Sanyo 250W.

Shame as I wanted the Solar Edge. Also wanted the new Wylex PV CU with inbuilt generation meter but getting a Crabtree and seperate meter. And the K2 rails/brackets for 35mm rafters I was told about have also been substituted for something else.

Guess you have to be lucky for whatever you get at the moment.

Sure thing, your doing well to get a 4000 and Sanyo 250's - The Solar Edge is great, i was well impressed, its the first one ive installed but i will certainly be pushing it more (if there's anything to push) on future installs.

just got a complete PLUG AND PLAY WYLEX kit INTERESTING deffo time saver!! but i do like nice big seperate meter!!

Told my installer to try CAS but guess they never bothered or a SE4000 was not available or only to those who ordered ages ago.

Did you use the Power Optimisers on every panel too?

Liked the idea of a 12 year warranty as standard.

And now the Wylex is also available when my installer said it was not. They said they were not very good and that the generation meter was small so hard to read. I just wanted a neat all in one install.

neat tidy! but yes client will struggle! ive given them a magnifine glass as a FREEBIE :))))))))))))))))))) the mc4 connectors just plug into isolator GOOD idea but its not realy a struggle normally just thought i would try it!!

Todays job

Thanks, it's not perfect, but considering the pressure and time were under.

Also roofer had used one way nails 2yrs ago, when we was pushing the tiles back it caught the felt and ripped, so we ended up stripping the roof, re-felting, and replaced 30 tiles! Yes this roof is only 2 yr old, I've never come across nails like these ones, they were serrated and would not come out. The only saving grace was it had a dry ridge, bonus.

I think you've ben lucky every delivery I've had off Cleaner Air I've had problems with. I'd have preferred to deal with them because they are closer to us but I haven't had faith in them since about April - let down too many times I'm afraid.

Glad you got sorted though :-)

I'm sure u need building regs, or something to do with council to remove chimney? Any way he got best of a bad situation.

he got a good job!! all them fitters going by saying thats no good !!to much shading :) lol micro invertas? coudnt enlarge to see!

Hi Guys, just popping in for a few moments,

Here's our "yesterday's" install (life is seriously crazy at the moment thank goodness for Green Magic! See amazon)
IMG_0330.jpgWhat not bolted down! :) :)

We have always had good services from CAS (Cleaner Air) however we have been a consistent regular customer and so have developed a good relationship with some of the key staff and directors ..

However we have been seriously stuffed by the false claims, and promises by Solfex Ltd. We placed an order AND PAID for 5 power one inverters last week with with the option on a further five. After claims of 'in stock' and a promised delivery date of Monday (which is the ONLy reason we paid in advance), still nothing arrived by today, even though we've been in regular receipt of emails claiming "in stock for overnight delivery"

Bottom line, they made false claims about stock, stock arrivals, availability, allocation etc. We will NOT be dealing with them in future, as their word cannot be trusted, - Now I've got to find 10 x Power-One PVI 3,6 OUTD'd from somewhere else ... oh, and persue them for harm to our business :) - My solicitor like opportunities like these!

Neat - i know your a man of many connections, but Altenergy seem to have good stock of the Kostal Piko 3.6 if its any help.
