Hi all

Can anyone confirm the BS number for a fuseswitch - I believe it's 60947-3 with BS88 used in the supply characteristics.

The ceramic guard on L3 is half missing and was going to put Code 1 but it is a commercial building so is that too harsh?

Cheers

Yes, a Fuse Switch Disconnector Combination Unit is BSEN60947-3 :1999, and the fuse could be either BS88 or BS1361.
If the ceramic guard is an outer barrier:- Code 1, danger exists, exposed live parts accessible, barrier missing, requires urgent remedial action without delay.
If the ceramic guard is a barrier behind an outer cover:- Code 2, potential danger, exposed live parts accessible, barrier missing, requires remedial action to improve safety as soon as possible.

Hi Markie

Many thanks for that quick response.

That answers both questions and as the guard is behind a barrier I will use Code 2.

Cheers
