Hello, I need some advice please. I am a landlord, and my tenant said there was a powercut and tripping in RCD when she tried to use her kitchen cutter. She called out emergency electrician who changed the fuse connected to the socket which solved the problem. Here I see the problem was caused by her kitchen cutter, however she said that herself and the electrician thinks it might have been caused my kitchen hood, which is working but didn't have very good ventilation. When I asked for advice for another visiting electrician he said overcooking or steam in the kitchen should not cause tripping and it could have been cause by the appliance used. I am a bit confused now, does overcooking or steam in kitchen be primary cause of fuse burning off n tripping? The kitchen hood ventilation is fixed, electrician said just needed some duct tape. I just want some advice as I don't want this problem repeating in future again.
Thank you very much.
