They use different forms for a start. Generally G83 is simply a case of filling out the notification form and then sending it to the DNO with a schematic and certificate - normally after the install has been carried out.
G59 uses different forms and they need to be run past the DNO before an installation is carried out.
i have been using G83 for 50kwp with western power. Nobody has yet pulled me up on it.
Are all inverters not rated to DNO standards anyway.
Can see the point in the big installs but 50kwp is only a small amount of power over 3phase
Not sure if they still accept this though so it may be a good idea to give them a ring. To be honest, it is a good idea to have a chat with the DNO to discuss exactly what you're planning on doing as you will find things a little more straightforward going forward this way.
Done a few of 50kwp, thats why im confused a little
they have never said that forms are wrong soI keep sending them.
