About to start a job next week where we're running a new circuit to a garage, some distance from the property, no issues with this. The customer keeps there freezers in the garage and infrequently uses them - every 3/4 days. What I've been asked for in addition to replacing the circuit is a "detector" that will trip an alarm in the event the RCD trips. The alarm which will probably be just a sounder would be located in the house, circa 100 metres away. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Run a contactor supplied from the garage circuit that holds open a contact to a sounder that is supplied by battery or the main supply, if the power fails the contact will close and activate the alarm.
