Hi there !!!
Please can anyone help ? I hope to put in a Square D unit in my garage and was wondering if anyone could show me a wiring diagram ? I'm not a qualified sparky but would like to fix this to part p standards in case we decide to move
Thanks for looking

Call a qualified electrician, as you are not a 'competent person' as defined in the regulations and therefore unable to do this job yourself.

If you wire this garage yourself, I think you will find it hard to get a Part P electrician to sign it off in a couple of years or when you move.
So why not save the headache and get a professional electrician in now.?
It may cost a bit more, but in the long run it'll save you so much in time and possible arguments with the other half if it takes you too long or do it wrong etc...

johni, the above replies, while seeming negative , reflect the attitude of most qualified sparks. the thing is. it's not just a case of connecting a few bits of equipment. it's far more complex. work of this nature should only be done by those who have spent years and £££££s learning the trade. you would not wish to be represented in Court by a non-qualified lawyer. you would not have a plumber perform heart surgery on your children, so, do it right, get a qualified electrician.
