Hi, I want to run a new supply from the meter to feed both a garage and a flat over the garage. I plan to put in new tails from the meter to a switch fuse in the main house (length of tails < 2M) and then a 5 core SWA from the switch fuse in the main house to a panel in the garage to feed two consumer units. Can any one help identify the switch fuse make/model (2 line, 2 neutrals + e) I should be looking at and what would be the best way of terminating the 5 core at the panel in the garage to feed the two CU's.
thanks. Ian.

Get a small Ryefield 2 way board for the 2 distributions circuits, if you have a major fault in either premesis and it takes out the main single fuse, both premisis will be affected.

The same as using a 5 core single SWA, if that cable gets damaged then both places are affected, I would run 2 seperate SWa one for each installation.
