Hi allBeen to do some work at a friends house and looked in there garageThe garage is wired in 2.5swa spurred from a socket in house. Ok I thought. In the garage the swa runs to a rcd fuse spur then from there to a twin socket and two fuse spurs( for outside lighting)You think to this? Think acceptable or has John Wayne been in town again!!!!!

Yeah there's rcd protection in house then to rcd spur in garageI'm happy enough just seeing what everyones feelings were on his garage wiring and if you were in my position would you say it needs altering

It's not ideal, but it doesn't sound unacceptable.

Obviously i can't comment on the quality of the workmanship, which could give you a clue as to whether or not further investigation is required, ie if it looks amateurish something has probably been missed.

Sounds like a simple spur off a ring final to me. Perfectly compliant, obviously unless its prone to being overloaded. Which I doubt.

Seems somewhat over cautious to have 2 FCU for a lighting circuit, is there 2 lights one for each spur, because if there is and the spurs are switched, it may have done this so they can be switched on and off. In the guys mind may have been cheaper and easier to fit via the 2 spurs, rather than one and the fuff about running S/L, fitting switches etc.
