Hi,

I have a set of Hozelock lights for the Garden and they have attached a 24 volt transformer. I have had installed a wise 4 channel remote box.Do I take off the transformer?as I need to somehow get these lights to work and as you can gather I am no electrician

Does anyone know how do I wire this up to work?

Thanks in advance

Kevin

You would need to explain what this 4 cnannel remote box is about. If the lamps are 24v then they need 24v either from their supplied transformer or another 24v power supply. What is the supply to this remote box and what is its output. Without an explanation of what these parts are or what they do, advise is hard to give.

Hi mate,

I dont want to put a dampener on your willingness to learn or your enthusiasm but my guess is that this little lot will require mains power somewhere along the way, and as these things are for the garden then my best guess is that you will require mains power out there. you are asking advice about the low voltage side of things which is the safer end of the stick, what about the mains voltage part? you may get some advice but as in your own words you are no electrician then you may not interpret it correctly. This could lead to damage, injury or both if you get it wrong, even with the correct wiring instructions do you know whether the cable will be suitable for both its environment and the required load. this job could also fall under building regs. There are lots of other considerations to be taken into account. Electrical work is not rocket science but it needs to be done properly, my advice would be get someone who knows what they are doing to do it for you.;)

Cheers..............Howard

As littlespark says there's no ways you're going to find spike lights that can accomodate SWA cables directly into them.
