gas bond in meter box

Hello
Just a quick memory jerker. Bungalow external flush gas meter, pipe exits from bottom of meter box tees left into kitchen then straight into small gas heater so cannot bond here. Other tees right runs up wall into loft not easily accessable for future inspections. If i remember rightly i can bond in meter box before any tees as long as the cable enters box at bottom and enters building external of box and seperate to gas. I am correct.

I would bond as close to point of entry as possible. After meter , before tees. Make sure to use an outdoor rated clamp though

It should obviously be bonded where it enters the building. But situations sometimes make this not practical, as you say yourself, for future testing.
In the meter box should be fine in your case. Aslong as your R2 is not above 0.05.

I've just done what you are planning.

The meter box was just outside the front door and the gas pipe ran under the floor making any clamp inaccessible. I could have put the clamp on the pipe just before the pipe went into the wall of the house, but chose to do it inside the meter cupboard so the clamp isn't on show and is protected from the elements.

It also stops the meter reader popping leaflets through the door saying "Your gas installation may be unsafe" which happens round here.
