Im doing a commercial site the gas meter is well within 150mm of db Code 2 or 1 ? altho theres not much can be done to remedy the situation

definitely not a code 1. i'd be inclined to give it a code 4, as i can't see it causing any problems.

Just ask them to get it added to their risk assessment for regular checking.

for any problems to arise, you would need an electrical fault ( arcing) and a gas leak. this could happen if the DB and gas meter were 6 feet apart.

That's one thing I've noticed when testing rcd's and rcbo's, there is a small spark sometimes
