Hi

I want to install switches from GIRA The KNXshop catalogue - an Ivory Egg businesshttp://www.knxshop.co.uk/catalog/Ca...eading=Pushbutton_-_1_fold&NavID=010-017-1084

Those in this Link are for a KNX Bus system but i want to use the GIRA type which controls the light Bulb directly. On, Off, Dimming and so on.

Now my Questions those switches come from Germany and they have a different system to fix them as the use round wall Boxes in Plastic. But they also have 2 Holes which allow me to fix them in our square UK Boxes. Is this allowed ?? Can i use those German switches ??

Regards
Paulo

I've worked on a Huf house in the uk and they use all german accessories and it's all been signed off with BC so would have thought it wouldn't be a problem as long as they are EN approved. Watch out for the two way switching they use relays not just physical gate switches.

Hi,

Thanks for the fast reply
I also think that it should be possible to use them, so that means i have to make sure that they are EN approved and then i´m fine ?

Anybody else out there who used German Style switches in the UK??
