Please go easy as I’m sure it’s a simple mistake.

Anyway my MFT Megger turned up today and when I switch it to Loop L-PE or L-N it comes up on the display as Err with 3 dash’s underneath.

Just wondered why this is.

Thanks.

L-PE, on mine it presets to the 3 lead test so maybe you had one loose or missing? L-N presets to 2 lead which needs a lead in each being L and N. The socket lead doesn't work at all with one missing, it has to have all 3 in regardless of test.

Mine's the Megger 1735-bs, if that helps.

Is there a possible user error?

You need make sure both dials are on green so the second one is on Max Z or Z.

Sorry if you've already done this.
