JIB Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) Getting JIB registered while unemployed.

Hello all, first post.

I`m trying to get a JIB card but have recently become unemployed. I`m 39 and did a 4 year apprenticeship 1986-1990 with British Steel (now Corus, soon to be closed!)
Since then I`ve gained
ONC in Electrical Engineering
17th Edition regs
2391 Inspection and Testing
CSCS card
CCNSG Safety Passport
plus others applicable to offshore work

The JIB form asks for NVQ lvl 3 in Electro technical.

Could someone please tell me the actual course number (C&G 2356-21 I`m assuming) and how I get it while I`m unemplyed?

im doing my nvq l3 with the 2330 course at the moment by rites you should have the nessasary qualifications not 100% on that tho if you want to do that 2330 you could be looking at 3 years id get in touch with the jib and do the ecs test

my dad is a spark been doing it for 30 odd years he never had to the nvq as it wasnt around when he was training to get his ecs card
