Getting my irish trade recognised in the Uk

I've recently a 4 year electrical apprenticeship and and contemplating heading over to the uk in search of work. A lot of the jobs I have seen advertised state that the employee needs to be JIB approved.

Can I automatically get my Irish qualification recognised over there or do I have to do some exams?

I've also completed the City & Guilds Level 3 2330 cert

The JIB are a law unto themselves when it comes to grading.
As far as I'm awre, Approved grade is now only issued if you hold the 2391 qualification.
The only thing I can suggest, is that you contact them to enquire whether they will accept your qualifications, and what grade they will issue.
