Just want to see what you chaps do.

This is just for domestic jobs...

What do you do with your rubbish if you can't leave for the customer to dispose of?

Down here you cant just go up the dump in your sign written van. So what I've been having to do for the last few years is go up every couple of weeks in my car, bit of pain.

But now all change, in Devon they've just brought in that anything you take up the dump unless it is household rubbish or garden waste then it is chargeable !! fekkers !! £7/bag of plasterboard, £2/bag rubble etc the list goes on.

Was thinking of putting something in my T & C's to cover me for this, any thoughts please ?

At the moment usually ending up with a wheelie bin full of rubbish each week.

Not ha d a problem so far with throwing the rubbish in my van and taking to the dump. If they start charging will need to start leaving it with customers like other trades do.

Most councils will help give them a call and ask for their commercial waste department. Where I live it's pretty cheap. Something like 70 "special coloured" refuse bags for £80. That's enough bags at 1 a week to last over a year.

i just dump mine in paul m`s garden :D its easier than sorting it. sorry paul now you know who it was at last :D

I take all my carp to the dump in the wifes estate car (even phils old she-ight by the looks of things).

Few years ago when I was busy I hired a mini skip at my house and charged a small fee on top of the bill to the customer. Give them the option of taking all the mess to the dump in their nice clean car? Most will pay £20+.

Things are getting tighter up here

The council are using the weighbridge to weigh any commercial vehilcle on entry and exit and then billing accordingly

I do work for my local cancer charity and they were charged for a tonne for 2-3 bags of rubbish

I don't take any rubbish away and give the client the option of a mini skip (£60) or to do it themselves.
I have been told I need a waste carriers licence to transport rubish so I don't. The only stuff I take is my own stuff from my house and that's in my own car

Pile of crap (litterally)
