Hello,
After a recent redundancy I thought I`d better try and get a trade, came from a semi-skilled job mainly tinkered with Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
However I embarked on and passed my 2377 PAT testing certificate.
I am now hoping someone will let me work with them voluntarily so I can gain some experience toward becoming an electrician.
My only problem at the moment is I have had to take a job at a call centreto help pay the mortgage! So I could only work with someone every other tuesday ( unless you work weekends!)
I`m not asking for a job (although if you want to give me a try you wouldn`t regret it!!!!!) or any sort of payment and I would supply my own PPE.
I live in Gateshead but I am prepared to travel any reasonable distance.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated
Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Me personally wouldn,t try and make a career pat testing, you need to get trained upto 17th edition if poss, and then progress to 2391, but good luck in your quest, keep tryin something will turn up.

Thanks for the replys guys,
I was hoping by doing my PAT testing I would gain a foothold and then progress further.
I will pay for any further training eg 17th edition etc, from my own pocket but as I say I just need someone to gimme a break!
