Glass Top Stove Inside a Drawer?

Is it possible to install a glass top electric stove inside a drawer, whereby the stove is only in use when the drawer is pulled out?

Mine has a notice on to that tells you not to put down when rings are hot.

Never checked if there is an interlock to prevent stupidity.

VW Californias don't have the interlock... and they are all factory fitted and very high quality spec... like £70k new for a transporter ?

worlds gon mad. Mrs bought Fairy pods for washing. childproof catches. need a hacksaw to get in them. and warning to keepout of reach of childtren. how in hell can you get yor child to do the washing when he/she can't get at the soap?

my question would be why would you want to do it?

Thats a good question! I want to do it because I have a small worktop space and do not want to take up so much of it with the range.

A customer of mine has an aluminium box arrangement that goes over the top of the hob (when cold) so she can use it as a work surface

It would be easier to make a bit of work top as the drawer and slide that out when needed.

I had a boat with a combination sink and hob, both built into the one stainless steel moulding. very neat. The 2 burner hob was gas though...so not a problem really!
