Hiya Jock,
I'll be gentle with you, don't worry (WEG) <reaching for the tallow>

First of all If I were you, unless you have a good customer such as a housing assc, council, shopping centre or a few schools, I'd stay put until you are laid off. Cash flow is king and money coming in from an employer is better than waiting for a phone to ring.

ok to answer your question,

you require 3 jobs that require a completion certificate for either NICEIC or ECA registration, I do not know the time period for those jobs so your previous jobs maybe acceptable.

you require £2m public liabity insurance which should be a couple of hundred

either the C+G 2391, detailed knowledge of inspection and testing or a subcontractor who can act as your tester.

The best thing to do is to enquire with either the ECA or NICEIC as my knowledge maybe out of date.

Current callibrated test equipment

BTW
I think the ECA charge more for Part "P"

good luck

I was registered with NAPIT up until last June

You only need one job to register with them

I have 2381 and 2391 going to go for 2382 only one day refresher for me if I can afford the £100 or may just take the exam have tried some on line exams an seem to do ok.

don't know who to go with had no problems with NAPIT but only submitted about 10 jobs

is it possible to use some of the jobs that I have done for my employer as a job for registration???
have got all the test gear and don't have any problem test ( done whole house rewires)

Hi Jock,

What do NAPIT charge?
for membership, inspections etc?

alot of my work is CCTV and access control but due to the credit crunch,
I'm going back to my roots

ie sparking

Hi
Napit Registration fee for 2009/2010 £300.00 + 15% Vat

Assessment Fee £180.00 +£15.00 Vat

Total £552.00 but there is a long wait still waiting.

Thanks

Mark
