called to 4 story house south london. upper floor lost all power. consumer units all over the place. got to top floor, cu at skirting board level, broken cover. opened to find supplied with a 2.5 t+e, 4 ways, 1 32a ring, 1 16a and 2 6a. overload springs to mind when i see lots of heaters, tvs computers. some rooms only have 1 power point supplying multi extention leads. owner agrees lots of updating required. hope to start this week. as house is full of students will av to work around them. i have yet to find the start of the 2.5 cable that supplies the cu on the top floor. there are old iso switches everywhere. happy days.
