Hi Gents,
I would like some advice about something I am planning and whether at this time I could get it off the ground. I have recently passed my Level 2 2330 at college and have some experience (1 month - commercial experience) The firm I am with is finding the work tailing off and much as I am loyal to the company (they gave me my start) I do need to live, pay for the house etc etc. I am thinking of registering as self employed as a electrcians m8. My questions are:

a) Based on the state of the market (and yes I've read the posts on the forum) is it possible to do (I have no issue with travelling to jobs long distance)?
b) How much do you reckon I should charge?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Cheers:cool:

look around the forum mate there are lads with the l3 tech cert the 17th edition regs and all sorts of other certs and they still aint gettin no work if i was u i would stick with the company as long as u can...one months experience is not enough to advertise urself as a mate a good mate worth his salt will be getting 8-9 per hour...if u are determind and u need to be start looking through agencys...best of luck ..u will need it
