What good investments have you made in your own business? Tools to make life easier, new van, premises that sort of thing.

depends which sector you work in really.
for a commercial subby like me , its got to be training really.
Ipaf , Pasma and ECS assessment all help in getting work.
second big expense is maintaining and running a reliable vehical.
but i always enjoy burning cash on new hand tools
and my cordless dewalt grinder is worth its weight in gold when it comes to knocking up tray and trunking in situ ;-)

Biffs on the money. I'm a subby too and tickets are up front for me. Then all hand tools. Got an estate plus motorbike. What ever gets you the job, gets you to the job, helps you do the job , keep the job... I find when doing my pjs marketing is important. Especially in this climate

A reasonable balance on your business account, at month end after you've paid the bills and yourself. Having cash in hand will always be a bonus
