Hi all just been given a job in Sweden by a builder that I've done a few jobs for. Visited the place and got all the plans. He is supplying all materials and wants a full price on first and second fix. It's just a concrete shell atm.
This is what I have come up with, baring in mind I work for a firm, and doing this at wkends and takin leave. he is payin for flights and accommodation and he is givin me a labourer to pull in cable chase any boxes etc.

291 LED down lights @ 15 - £ 4365
Sockets @ 35 - £4340
3 phase incomer + 3 single phase DB
£750
Water bonding £80 (no gas)
36 Spurs + single/s @ £ 30 £1080
3 oven/hop @ 80 £240
13 Wall lights @ 15 £ 195
16 outside wall lights @ 20 £ £320
67 switches @ 10 £ 670
6/7 Smokes @ 30 £ 180
3 commando sockets @ 40 £ 120
11 Garage 5ft @ 20 £ 220
6 outside sockets @ 40 £ 240
6 Shaver points @ 20 £ 120
13 Data points @ 20 £ 260
11 Tv points @ 20 £ 220
2x6 speaker systems @ 20 £ 240
Totals £ 13,940
My concern is if I give him this price will he think I'm taking the mick?? Or will he be expecting this?
Any advice appreciated.

The spec and prices are what they are mate, my question is why is he prepared to pay all the travel and accomodation costs etc to get a UK spark in?
Could it be that he knows that it will work out cheaper than a Swedish one?
Either way, with all the addition costs it's going to be hideously expensive for your builder guy

Careful, i recently spoke to a builder who did something like this but in France . Mega rich french guy! Turned out end of job he didn't pay.. what could the builder do? Nothing.. Lost out on about 20k! couldnt take him to court cos he cudnt speak the french!

Axel that's nonsense mate you can hire French lawyers who can speak English. I think the guy was pulling your leg

Prices are what prices are, put it to him if you are happy with it.

BTW, 291 downlights?! What is he going to do in there? Recreate close encounter of the third kind?

I never said that Axel. We've all been fed a line at some point mate. :)

You married too then Trev? ;)

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Guess the worse he can do is knock me down. It's an awful lot of downlights! That will take some time.
Trev;
he says he's worked with the sparks out there before and they do things different to what he wants guess its the language barrier. But it could be they are a rip off compared to us.

i know i need help but, come on,who flys anyone out to look at a job then flys them back and forth every weekend to do a guvvy job in another country,im not up on sweedish regs but no doubt theres a few differences..

Staged payments though Rosco, Big layout. Axel had a bit of a point in that you'd rather avoid courts / lawyers in the first place

I know of a Scottish spark who moved to Sweden and married there, lived there for 20 odd years now......maybe I can dig out his email address, is a friend of my family......speaks Swedish....works as a spark there.....he could maybe find things out about local regs etc....

Yer I guess it's a bit different but I've done bits for him ova the last 6 months and maybe as I'm young n have no overheads he thinks he will get the best price.
He's paid on the day everytime I've worked for him but will defo arrange payments after each part complete.
Would appreciate some advice/info on the regs thanks a lot grant.
