whatever could you mean? It's good to see this forum, just so long as it doesn't attract negative comments from the condescending sparkies out there!
Ermm...... this forum has been around for a very long time and is based around very experienced and talented Electricians and Electrical Engineers all sharing knowledge. If you have a DIY question we'll often indulge that with an answer but if you're looking for somewhere to prop up your assertions of half-baked, potentially dangerous and often non-compliant 'solutions' then I'd suggest moving along elsewhere. It's good to see this forum, just so long as it doesn't attract negative comments from the condescending sparkies out there!
If my tone misjudged your post then I apologise unreservedly - let's just say we've had a bit of a run lately on DIY posts where the poster clearly had no intention of following any of the advice that they were given!Nothing sinister intended, and certainly nothing "half-baked, potentially dangerous and often non-compliant 'solutions'" required. I value my family's and my life too much, let alone the thought of voiding my insurance!!!
What prompted the comment was my experience on another subject/forum recently where some "person" (let's leave it at that) responded very harshly to my enquiry. I admit to my experience shortfalls and/or lack of knowledge, after all, if I didn't have it I wouldn't be here asking for help.
Anyway, good to see an active, forum response, thank you!
