[ElectriciansForums.net] Good value or not?

I've fitted a couple of the BG boards from screwfix, £45 all in.
When the customer says quote is too expensive for a CU change I say I can knock £20 off and fit you a cheaper board.
There actually quite nice to work on.
Don't know about reliability but I thought everything's made in the same chinese factories nowadays anyway.
Not my 1st choice but needs must some times!

Yes the bg one. They have failed to mention it is illegal to install unless part p registered
Are they, how long had that been around?

Or did you mean, depending upon where abouts you live in the UK and what type of install it is fitted on it may need to be registered with LABC in line with Part P of
the building regulations?

I've used a couple and I like them. Good quality, nice labels and roomy. My only gripe is the rcd link is too long in my opinion and upsets te OCD I seem to have when dressing a board!!!
