Got qualifications no experience. Help !

Anyone know where the best place to start finding work?
I have City and Guilds Part 1 & 2
17th Edition Wiring Regs
Cscs Health & Safety Card
Full Uk Driving License.

Im 19 years old but i just dont have experience in the industry, I've even tried lying just to get in the door to show what i can do but just no hope. Anyone recommend websites or agencies i could use to help find me work ?

I know things are tough at the moment mate, but if you lie to an possible employer and then they take you on, you will soon be shown the door. I was in a similar position a while ago, but just kept ringing firms local to me, and in the end one of them gave me a start, Now I have the experiance to go with the quals, but it was hard going mate, you just got to stick with it. What area are you looking at mate.

Im looking around the Bedfordshire area. Dont really mind travelling far though, i can drive so thats not a problem

You need a trainee position mate. A years ecperience with a good employer who lets you get hands on is more than enough to have you completing circuits. You don't however want a labourers job.

Many, many apprentice in this trade were nothing but a labourer doing containment etc. Thats why they come on here saying they have the NVQ3 but struggle to do any kind of wiring or testing....

The moral of this is that Apprentiships aren't always the best option. It depends on your employer

my situation is similar: NVQ3, 17th, manual handling, coshh, fire marshal, first aid, ipaf for scissor and boom lifts. could not find a job due to 0 experience. employed eventually as electrician with the only drawback of poor salary. but, hey, getting the exp now!
