I have been asked to provide a few sockets and lights in a green house. The house has two fuseboards main one and another in the garage fed in 10mm t+e. How would everone recommend I wire it ? The garage is close so would it be possible to come off that ? Also where do you find the information to know what size cable you need and what current a cable can handle. Thankyou

I would suggest you TT the greenhouse, also you need to know if there are any services, e.g. water, via a metal pipe which would need bonding. Also a greenhouse is a very hostile environement for electrics so I would suggest IPx5 for fittings. You need to know what loads are going to be used to work out the cable sizes and if the garage supply is adequate. The red book has all the sizes. If not comercial I think it will come under part P reporting. I would suggest you get someone who has done it before to look at it for you.

Just ring a competent electrician and ask him, he'll know immediately where to find this information....
