Bahco and Knipex both have good grips.
180mm Knipex cobra's are very handy for getting into trunking and the like.
250mm Knipex Auto adjusting pliers are very handy as you do not need to keep adjusting them.
Bahco have some good designed and very sturdy grips too

NWS VDE Waterpump plier 240mm brand new on eBay (end time 27-Oct-10 17:58:40 BST)
I find I can put a lot of pressure on them without slipping and giving myself a pinch. I've had Bahco before but these are better.
