Grommets

Hi,

I can't find anywhere the white plastic that you cut to length to make a grommet, for example in a new dis board to protect cables from metal hole, any suggestions?

Strip a bit of 2.5 or 4mm T&E down and make your own.:shades_smile:

you can also use paxoline or perpspex or PVC sheet, that is cut smaller than the metal hole, thus keeping the cable from running against the metal. This is usually used as another method of bushing trunking onto DB's. Using the same principle youcan use the above to gland single core cables itno steel DB's, because theyre glanded into the pax, perspex, PVC instead.

Grommet strip, that's the stuff. Couldn't think what it was called! End of a long week. Lenny, I normally would but they have used grommet strip before and would like to keep it looking the same!

I use it a lot for irregular shape holes etc - brilliant stuff. I bought a 25m length of 'clear' about a million years ago and I'm still on it!
