Got a 10kw 40 panel ground mount to do in two banks of 20 panels.

Not done a ground mount yet just wondering how long it might take to errect the frames? Its a schueco ground mount not the feild mount which lookse easier.

Cheers,

Should have gone for the field mount, all you do is drop the posts into holes, concrete and bolt the rails one. Hope you are good with mechano!!! Get a socket attachment for your drill/driver, will speed things up a bit.

Firstly check you have all the bits! They are good at leaving things out. Make sure it is all square and level before you bolt anything together. If it is not started right from the ground you have nightmares getting the cross rails level and parallel. We spent 2 days getting it all straight and level.(2 men). 10KW about a week.
I assume it's the four legged kit x 3 kits??

This is what i have below. This is for one 5kw array so i have double this. Built it on the Segen designer for 20 X 250w panels. The arrays are one in front of the other with seperate inverters. I have had it confirmed by schueco that this is what i need but if you can spot anything missing i'd love to know... Thanks

So you have 3 x "leg kits" with 4 x connecting rails across the three legs. ( x 2 for the other array)?
The connecting rails are joined to extend them across the three legs with connectors.

You only need to buy 3 sets of U brackets as they come in 4's
Seems to be all there although we ordered the same kit and did not receive 256246 so had to bolt the upright legs which is more secure anyway. When I complained I got another box of 249770 which you throw away anyway and never got a refund or the correct parts.
Also they can send badly marked ally sections so check these are not water marked where they been sitting in a yard somewhere. Our stock came half from UK (old stock badly marked) and half from Germany.
Check everything on delivery because they will not respond to requests and only deliver once a month.

Also if you are looking for end caps on the rails you will not get any as they do not exist.

You have not ordered any cruciform kit? This stops it moving sideways so any reason?

Eyeing the structure was the best way to ensure all the diagonals were parallel but we had 9 leg kits in a single row.
I have a box(large) of 249770, 1 x 249746 long horizontal 6m rail, Lots of 249768 clamping plates.

We used ground anchors, for the record, and so no time at all to put the bases down.
Good luck.

Depends on how long you have to wait for all the parts :-( we're short and our lovely customer is chomping at the bit to get it all done and registered.

True that. Schueco have no stock left in Europe, orders now are being manufactured i have heard. All well and good ordering stock from a warehouse in germany, different matter if it's still a solid block of aluminium when you've paid for it...
