Can anyone recommend a mounting system for a single row of 16 panels in a field, could i use a schuco flat roof system and then just bolt it to a concrete base, any ideas would be helpfull.

The flat roof kits are good but you will need to have a look at a few systems and work out how much load your going to need. Its not simply a case of sticking a few breeze blocks down and bolting too it,the ground mount systems can easily become a big engineering project The array can easily blow over when not done right- not enough weight.
Sorry for the waffle, I've had some good results with the schletter stuff and I have, in the past, built a frame myself with uni-strut. Ground mounting is really about the fixing down, a lot of the systems themselves are fairly basic.

I believe K2 systems do an off the shelf ground mounted table for this purpose.

yes you can use Schuco’s Flat Roof Mounting system as it is fast and easy to install, making it ideal for buildings with flat roofs. The PV Modules are mounted on flat roof brackets to structural units with OneTurn connections, which are fixed to a building structure or anchored weights.
