Our ground mounts have all been ballast buckets so far - dead easy but now we have a customer who is keen for a 10kwp ground mount but also keen to put the mounting up himself to save a bit of the cost. The field is sloping quite a lot so we need to have decent options for adjustment to get it to look reasonably level. This guy is pretty switched on and has worked in forrestry felling trees for 20 or so years so I'm reasonably happy that it's a good way for us to get the work and for him to save a bit of cash but ..... which system do you recommend??????

We have our ground mounts custom made, A frames on concrete pads.

Saw some interesting ground screws, if the customer has tractor maybe thats a quick and adjustale solution.

Try Wind And Sun - they've got a range of solutions Wind & Sun - PV mounting structures

Does he intend to fence it off, or will it be grazed around? If sheep grazed, it just needs lifting about 1m off the ground - same distance between rows as they are all 1m higher. - Schletter do a whole range of them. Also in theory there is no reason why a properly installed tanalized timber solution shouldn't work either - Tanalised Timber, properly constructed is gauranteed for 15 years (longer than some aluminium mounting systems :)

Thanks - the area will be fenced off so no need for the increased height but it slopes down to a corner by a good meter.

Try looking at Sunpods Inc. factory built solar arrays, self adjustable legs require very little if any ground work. These are self ballasted and have been shipped across the U.S , Africa and Korea
