Don't you just love it, have heard that due to the surge of homeowners pushing to beat the 2/03 deadline and stock
being cleaned out yet again it is going to get difficult.

Solar market is not as over cooked as some try to make the masses believe.
There have been shortages of Sanyo panels nationwide, but many other panels and inverters or alternatives are readily available for those that look hard enough.
Many electricians are stepping out of the solar market because they can see the writing on the wall for the next 18 months. In addition many distributors and solar installation companies have been attempting to exploit March 3rd 2012 introducing 10-15% price rises and scaremongering to influence customers to buy.
After March 3rd 2012 the tide is likely to turn short term against UK solar industries, unless solar panels and inverter prices continue to decline. Profitability at 21p FITS is not as good as companies would have people believe.

I've done my sums and 21p works for me.

I don't give my customer a price until I have a price on that system and normally inform them that I will make the order with them on the phone.

Only a small problem today with some fixings but sorted.
