Hi everyone
You ve guessed it GU10`s again. Wilts Fire rated downlighters at 50w installed on brand new installation. The lighting circuit also has standard bc bulbs too. These bulbs do not blow, but the gu10 after some time do. I have mains fed the switches on this installation, and checked all neutral connections in the switches and all connections at fittings. All clean and tight. The circuit megas out fine.
So, I replaced the bulbs with 35w mains gu10`s.
One of the forum replies mentioned the room above giving off vibration, and in this installation (which is an old house) the bathroom above does this.
Also Voltage fluctuation too, but i`m thinking if fluctuation is an issue, other bulbs would blow too.
So if these bulbs go again, i am considering 12v transformered type as opposed to LED`s
Any good ideas as to which way to turn.
Kosnic gu10`s have been mentioned, as have supercompact. What are other sparks view on these>
Thanks for listening
Rich P.
